What is a patio fruit tree?

Our range of patio fruit trees have been bred to thrive in containers but you can plant them directly in the soil if you wish.

These varieties have been grafted onto the most innovative rootstocks, to control their growth - but not their fruit production! Growing them in pots also restricts their size and patio fruit trees will eventually grow to a height of 1.5-2m. Our patio fruit range is self-fertile, so there’s no need to plant a compatible fruit tree nearby.

How do I look after my patio fruit tree?

Potted trees can be easier to care for than garden grown trees, because you can move them when bad weather looms and easily protect them from pests and birds. They will thrive in full sun but require careful feeding and watering over the summer to prevent the fruits from dropping before they ripen.
