Accounts Receivable Assistant
Position: Full time, permanent position- Monday to Friday
Location: Poplar Lane, Ipswich
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant you will have a keen eye for detail and the confidence to raise any queries with the surrounding team. You will play a vital role in an accounts receivable team of 3 within a business that are continuing to go from strength to strength.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day to day processing & reconciling payments & refunds to customers via the various payment types, credit cards, cheques and PayPal.
- Assisting with the posting of transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Dealing with queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Other general admin duties within the finance department as required.
- Attend team meetings and contribute effectively to ensure deadlines are met.
- Communicate regularly with their line manager to ensure that the business are delivering to a high standard.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- Accuracy & attention to detail.
- Good systems skills, to include Microsoft Excel.
- Previous experience working on an ERP system is advantageous.

B2B Sales Director
Position: Full time, permanent position- Monday to Friday

We are on the hunt for a dynamic and results-led Sales Director to head up our B2B Sales division.
Reporting to the CEO you will have full P&L responsibility for the B2B division, creating and executing the strategic plans which will see the business grow market share within a competitive environment. You will provide leadership to the management team and work collaboratively to drive profitable growth, maintain the highest standards across the business, and provide industry leading customer service. You will be expected to win new business, develop the existing sales team and oversee back-office support functions.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and achieve B2B sales targets, maximising profitability both through further development of the existing customer base as well as new sales opportunities.
- Develop new sales channels, products and customers ensuring the growth of our share of the market within UK garden centres and multiples.
- Developing and ensuring implementation of B2B marketing strategies while ensuring our brands global market position, exploring potential profitable export markets./li>
- Prepare, present, monitor & review B2B sales budgets, including sales reforecast as required, monitoring margin performance, analysing as required.
- As a Senior Manager for the business, the role holder would be expected to ensure all team members, processes and procedures add value to the business, contributing to its profitability and success.
- Attend and take an active part in Executive meetings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A commercial mindset with strong management skills.
- Experience with dealing with multiples and large accounts winning new business and selling products into retailers.
- Personality traits to include a blend of professionalism, high emotional intelligence, authenticity and a passion for sales and developing people.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead in a forward looking, profitable company. You will receive a salary of between £70k to £90k based on experience, bonus and car/car allowance.

Responsibilities will include:
- Meeting sales targets for assigned territory
- Capturing orders and managing relationships for existing customer accounts
- Negotiating best meterage and product range for each store to increase sales
- Maximising merchandising in store
- Generating sales leads and securing new business
- Providing market insight feeding back ideas, maintaining an awareness of sales trends, customer demand and competitor offering
The Candidate:
Ideally the candidate will have experience of the Garden Centre industry and will have gained solid commercial skills working in a fast-paced field sales environment.
We want someone who is as equally driven by providing a good service as they are in driving sales. You’ll be determined, with a proven sales performance track record and the ability to deliver results. Self-motivation is key and a desire to succeed is essential.
The role is home-based so you must be able to cover your territory within reasonable travel time/distance from your home. You will be required to attend regular sales meetings, which are held throughout the UK, and you may be required to travel to our head offices in Ipswich and Paignton on occasion.
