Sow your seeds from March to May. Sow your seeds individually into small plant pots and grow them on a sunny windowsill. From March as the plant’s roots stick out of the bottom of the pot, plant into a bigger plant pot with more space. Plant outside in mid May using a tall cane as a support. Seeds can also be sown straight into the ground two fingers deep in May. The flower is ready to use as a bird table when it has dropped its petals and you can see the seeds. Get a grown-up to chop the flower off and put it on a wall or table. You can then watch the birds eat the seeds, you can eat them too! See your flowers from July to September.
