2 Litre Potted Plants

Bedding plants first became popular in UK gardens in Victorian times. Neighbours competed over who could create the best display, fuelled by the abundance of newly discovered exotic varieties such as Pelargoniums and Verbenas. We still get a lot of use out of these plants today, but with so much choice available, we’re not limited to a single style of bedding. In today’s gardens there is much more experimentation, with styles ranging from informal bedding to carpet, to contemporary bedding, and more.

Large bedding plants are not only beautiful, they also make gardening a breeze by filling up more space with fewer plants. Introduce your favourite summer blooms to your outside spaces in convenient 2-litre pots. This collection includes gorgeous flowers with long flowering periods so that you can make your summer garden last longer this year.

With Begonias, Geraniums, Rudbeckia and Cosmos all available, you can go large with your flower borders and beds, making them stand out. Opt for lots of height, or fill out your spaces with bushier plants - or why not mix and match? Additionally, you can create fantastic talking points with patio pots or raised flower beds. All large bedding plants are available from mid-July onwards.

Make sure to check out the Hints & Tips section on each product page for more information on your selected plants. Some of our large bedding plants are great at attracting wildlife such as bees, making them a real hive of activity and energy in your garden!
