Bred on the slopes of Vesuvius, this mountainous Petunia soars up to 1.5m (4.9ft) high, erupting into a spectacular cascade of frothy blooms that keep coming for up to 5 months!

Petunia ‘Allegra Orchid Vein’ boasts large lilac flowers up to 12cm wide, each intricately patterned with darker veining. Every stem can carry as many as 20 blooms, creating a dramatic and long-lasting floral display.

This groundbreaking Italian Cutting Petunia dwarfs traditional trailing and mounding types with its long, sturdy stems that can be trained up a tower pot or obelisk to add vertical drama on the patio or in borders. Alternatively, leave it to pour from hanging baskets, creating dramatic waterfalls of continuous colour. Wherever you grow it, you’ll enjoy a nonstop display of blooms with virtually no effort - its male-sterile nature allows the plant to self-clean as flowers fade, so deadheading is never required!

Growing Information

Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.

Live Plants

Suttons strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

Large Non-standard items may incur a higher, lorry delivery charge. Charges will be calculated at checkout, but an example of the lorry charges are listed below.
