Summer fireworks arrive early with Lagerstroemia indica 'Neige D'Été'. This show-stopping shrub brings Mediterranean glamour to UK gardens, flowering from June, a full month ahead of traditional crepe myrtles. It has also been specially bred for enhanced hardiness, ensuring reliable performance through cool UK winters.

From July to October, it produces an exuberant display of crisp white, crepe-paper-like flowers held on red stems, each bloom long-lasting even in heat and rich in nectar for pollinators. The profusion of ruffled white flowers is beautifully set off by rich green foliage that turns orange in autumn. After leaf fall, peeling bark reveals lighter bark beneath offering an attractive feature throughout the winter. With a neat, bushy habit, Lagerstroemia indica 'Neige D'Été' performs superbly in containers as well as borders, delivering months of colour.

Lagerstroemia is a familiar favourite in Mediterranean gardens but remains relatively rare in the UK. These flamboyant shrubs produce an abundance of long-lasting flowers, creating a spectacular display throughout the summer. They thrive outdoors in mild southern climates when planted in a warm, sunny location that allows the wood to ripen fully, with a south-facing wall providing the ideal sun-drenched position. Containerised specimens make a striking feature for a sunny summer patio before moving to a sheltered position to overwinter. Ultimate height: 2m (6.5ft). Ultimate spread: 1.5m (4.9ft).

Growing Information

Plant Lagerstroemia in any rich fertile soil in full sun. Although reasonably hardy once established, Crepe Myrtle enjoys a hot sheltered position and is best grown against a south facing wall or as a specimen plant in the conservatory.

While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.
