Alstroemeria Inticancha 'Sunburst' delivers serious elegance and exceptional flower power in a perfectly compact plant. White, funnel-shaped blooms with creamy throats are beautifully marked with dark speckling, carried in abundance for months on a neat, bushy, well-branching habit bred specifically for patio performance.

Part of the resilient ‘Sun’ series, Alstroemeria Inticancha 'Sunburst' shrugs off high summer temperatures and keeps flowering from early summer to the first frosts without tiring. Ideal for containers or the front of borders, it also makes a rewarding perennial choice rather than disposable bedding. Flowers are excellent for short vase arrangements and last up to two weeks indoors, with more produced quickly when stems are pulled from the base. Light frost protection is all that’s needed - just mulch border plants and move containerised specimens into a sheltered spot or greenhouse to overwinter and enjoy a reliable return display year after year. Ultimate height: 35cm (14in). Ultimate spread: 30cm (12in).

Growing Information

Alstroemerias perform best in a sunny, sheltered spot in a rich, free-draining soil that contains lots of organic matter. A weekly feed with a high-potassium feed such as tomato food will encourage prolific blooming, while removing each stem after the flowers have faded will prolong the flowering season. Tall stems may benefit from staking or support to prevent wind damage. Though most alstromerias are hardy, they will benefit from an autumn mulch if in a border, or if in a container, being moved to a frost-free spot over winter.

Suttons strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.
