An impressive variety that differs from the traditional plain green star jasmine, Trachelospermum jasminoides 'Star of Milano' produces attractive, variegated, pointed leaves that are pattered with light to deep green with cream margins. Instead of the plain white blooms, the star-like flowers are a beautiful soft pink and will be adored by bees! 'Star of Milano' is a versatile climber that is perfect for covering fences, trellis and walls or for groundcover, containers or a low hedge. Be sure to grow it somewhere you can fully appreciate its heavenly fragrance! Trachelospermum jasminoides provides year-round colour and interest with its glossy, evergreen foliage and its mass of blooms from May all the way through to September. Low maintenance and very easy to grow, this vigorous climber is pest and disease-free and shows excellent drought tolerance. Height and spread: 3m (9’9").

Growing Information

Grow star jasmine plants in frost-free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When they are well grown, plant Trachelospermum ‘Star of Toscana’ in fertile, well drained soil in sun or semi-shade. Choose a sheltered position that is protected from cold winter winds. In particularly cold areas, Trachelospermum jasminoides is best grown in patio containers of loam based compost, such as John Innes No.2, that can be moved to a protected position over winter. Provide the twining stems with an appropriate support such as trellis, wires or a free standing climbing frame.

Suttons strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.
