The delicate beauty of pink peonies captivates with their lush petals and vibrant hue, symbolizing romance and prosperity. These flowers, often associated with spring, bring a sense of elegance to gardens and floral arrangements alike. Their rich fragrance and full blooms make them a popular choice for weddings and special occasions, where they serve as a stunning focal point. As they unfurl, pink peonies embody a sense of grace and charm, making them a cherished favorite among flower enthusiasts.

These quintessential features of the cottage garden are reliable, hardy perennials that perfectly suit more formal settings. In early summer, plump buds unravel layer after layer of ruffled petals in subtle pink shades. Bury your nose in these huge, luxurious blooms and you’ll also enjoy a delicate but distinctive perfume. Despite their flamboyant looks, these peonies are hardy, resilient and long-lived, getting bigger year after year to create a showstopping performance in May/June. With lightly fragrant blooms and a long vase life, it’s hard to resist snipping a few to show off in the home too! Height and spread: 75-90cm (29-35in).

Culinary note: The petals can be added to salads, or cooked slightly and sweetened for a treat. Peony water was also once considered a delicacy and the blooms can be floated in punches.

To allow us to offer you such a good price, we can’t take orders for specific varieties, but whatever we decide to send, you won’t be disappointed.

Growing Information

Bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position on fertile, moist, well drained soil. Peony plants prefer a heavy soil that is rich in organic matter. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting. Plant herbaceous peonies so that the top of the crown is just 5cm (2”) below the soil surface, taking care not to plant too deeply as this may prevent or delay peonies from flowering.
Order Despatch

Orders are despatched promptly by post or parcel carrier. Seasonal items such as plants are sent separately with the estimated delivery times stated against each variety both in our catalogue and on our website.

Please note that when several items are ordered they may not all be delivered at the same time.

Live Plants

Suttons strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

Large Non-standard items may incur a higher, lorry delivery charge. Charges will be calculated at checkout, but an example of the lorry charges are listed below.
