Rudbeckia 'Summerdaisy's Ping Pong' is a captivating perennial variety celebrated for its eye-catching, large blooms that showcase a vibrant orange-yellow hue contrasted by deep, dark centers. These striking flowers not only add a splash of color to any garden but also provide a visual feast from mid-summer through to autumn, ensuring that your outdoor space remains lively and inviting for an extended period. This cultivar is particularly appreciated for its role in supporting local ecosystems, as it attracts a variety of pollinators, including bees and butterflies, making it a fantastic choice for those looking to enhance biodiversity in their gardens.

Thriving in the temperate climate of the UK, 'Summerdaisy's Ping Pong' is well-suited to typical winter conditions, demonstrating remarkable hardiness across most regions. For optimal growth, this variety prefers full sun to partial shade, which encourages the best flowering performance. It flourishes in well-drained, moderately fertile soil, and while it is tolerant of drought once established, it benefits from regular watering to maintain its vibrant appearance. This makes it an excellent addition to borders, cottage gardens, and any planting schemes designed to attract and support pollinators.

In addition to its garden appeal, this Rudbeckia variety is also a popular choice for cut flower arrangements due to its bold and long-lasting blooms. The low maintenance nature of 'Summerdaisy's Ping Pong' adds to its allure; a simple cut back after flowering not only keeps the garden tidy but can also stimulate further blooms. With its striking appearance and ecological benefits, this perennial is a delightful choice for gardeners looking to create a colorful and inviting environment while supporting local wildlife. Height: 90 cm (35 in) Spread: 45 cm (18 in)

Growing Information

Pot up rudbeckia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting outdoors later on. When plants are well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before planting them outdoors in sun or partial shade. Rudbeckia enjoys a fertile, preferably heavy soil that is rich in organic matter and well drained. Coneflowers resent drought and dislike soils that dry out in summer.

Live Plants

Suttons strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Non Standard Deliveries

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland. We are committed to finding a way that we can resume or normal services again as soon as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvience caused.

Prices include VAT where applicable.

We reserve the right to contact you and advise an additional charge where necessary and are happy to quote for carriage of specific products to more remote areas. Some items may not be available to all areas.

We reserve the right to revise any carriage charges in the event of carrier price increase or other unforeseen circumstances. We will always advise of the carriage charge before payment is taken.

All Suttons products should reach you in perfect condition, just as they left us. If you are dissatisfied in any way with their condition on arrival, please let us know within 14 days.
