Tomato Grafted Plants - F1 Summerlast

The dwarf patio tomato that has a big impact!

Watch out there’s a new variety in town... The F1 Summerlast is the new blight-resistant dawrf tomato that everyone can grow! A first for dwarf patio tomatoes, the Summerlast will harvest stunning fruits in large numbers. Great for growing in small outdoor spaces, on a patio or balcony you will only need a 25 cm (10”) pot. These tomato plants have the 'stay-green trait', meaning their leaves won't yellow, plus it is also resistant to TMV. Cropping throughout summer and into autumn, the F1 Summerlast will produce cocktail sized tomatoes, sweeter than other dwarf varieties, great to snack on or reduce for tasty Italian sauces.

What’s so good about grafted veg plants?

Grafting onto specific rootstocks, of course, creates bigger, better, more disease-resistant plants with increased yield. Consequently, we believe, the extra vigour which the plant obtains will provide even better protection to late Blight attack, and the plants will grow away from any infection even more rapidly.

Grow in the greenhouse or outdoors, little or no heating required. With excellent resistance to soil-borne pest and diseases - No more ring culture or grow bags you simply plant straight in the soil.

Caring for your Grafted F1 Summerlast

There is a possibility that your plant will include a grafting clip if it does, this is an integral part of the grafting process and that it should be left in place. As the plant grows it will naturally shrug off the clip. Plants do not need pinching out but may need a small cane to support all the fruit when it begins to ripen.

Rating:
Really healthy well grown plant, what a joy to open, especially as I had bought grafted tomatoes from a competitor that were nothing like the size or as vigorous as this one did. One word sums this tomato plant Brilliant.
