Chilli Pepper Plant - Slow Burn
A real slow-burner, this variety of chilli pepper builds up heat over time!
‘Slow Burn’ is an interspecific spectacular hybrid. Unlike, many other chilli peppers this variety builds up the heat slowly and stops before it gets too hot, hence the name 'Slowburn'. Ripening a gorgeous rich orange colour, this chilli pepper plant will produce an abundance of fruits, weighing in at a feisty 55,000-60,000 SHU.
The ‘Slow Burn’ is deep and rich in flavour, these rather complex tastes are elements taken from both its parents. This chilli pepper can be frozen or dried for later use. Supplied in a 10cm pot, your chilli pepper plant will thrive best in a greenhouse or sunny patio.
Grow this eye-catching chilli pepper from your very own home, a must-have for any keen chilli enthusiast.
Caring for your Slow Burn
Your chilli plant will perform best in a greenhouse but will produce a good crop in a sunny sheltered location outdoors. It is important that you give it time to adjust to its new environment. Check the compost is moist and if required leave the plant to soak in approximately 5mm water for 5-10 minutes or until the top of the compost is damp. Stand the plant in a warm, light, airy place such as a windowsill or conservatory and allow to grow, ensuring that the compost is kept moist.
