Black cumin is a delicate looking and oriental spice, with soft, feathered foliage. It is an annual, but readily self-seeds each year. This charming plant is widely grown for its black seeds to be used in cooking.

Black Cumin seeds are similar to fennel in smell, but have a peppery warm taste that is very close to nutmeg. If you are growing for flavour, Black Cumin packs a lot of flavour in to its tiny seeds. Black Cumin is also known as Black Caraway, Roman Coriander and Blackseed.
