Chaenomeles x superba 'Crimson and Gold' is a woody shrub, with dark brown branches, and deep crimson red cup-shaped flowers borne in the spring, with golden yellow stamens, followed by small oval green leaves. In the autumn, yellow quinces form, which have a sweet fragrance, and can be used in making quince jelly for culinary use. Traditionally grown next to a wall, where the branches can be trained. Height 100-150cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
