A great cut flower
A tall bearded iris with grey-green leaves and eye-catching rose-pink blooms with burgandy falls. A great cut flower. Flowers May-June. Height 100-150cm (40-60"). Root size 1.
Give these magnificent bearded irises a spot in a sunny border and they will thrive with little attention, forming large, dramatic clumps of strap-like leaves topped by glorious flowers.
Irises are a vast genus of plants, ranging from diminutive rockery varieties, to imposing border specimens. Some are grown from bulbs, others from thickened underground stems known as rhizomes. Nearly all, however, share the same beautiful and easily recognisable flower form - 3 erect inner 'standard' petals and 3 hanging outer 'fall' petals.
