It's hard to imagine autumn without colchicums!
One of the best things about autumn is the sight of a carpet of naturalised flowers, and our Colchicum Collection means you can create your own. This collection combines eight beautiful flowers in pink and white (four varieties in total).
Colchicums are perfect winter flowers for naturalising, so you can look forward to a smattering of beautiful double blooms between September and November.
- Perfect for naturalising
- Flowers during autumn
- With white, double blooms
A lovely way to achieve some bright blooms when the colours of summer are dormant, we love colchicums. One bulb can produce up to eight of those double blooms, and their dainty pink and white shades will add a magical touch to your garden.
If you prefer to enjoy them indoors, grow your colchicum bulbs in a shallow container indoors – you won’t even need any soil! Flowers September – November. Height up to 30cm. Waterlily - Big double white blooms - as many as 8 per bulb! Bulb size 14cm+.

Choose a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade. Colchicums require a moist, well drained soil which is rich in organic matter. On heavy clay soils incorporate well rotted garden compost into the soil prior to planting. Plant the corms 8cm deep and 10-15cm apart. Flowers appear September to November followed by the leaves which are produced in spring.
If they are grown in a shallow tray indoors, plant them in the garden as soon as the flowers start to fade.
Ideal for beds and borders, patio pots and containers. Attractive to pollinators. Prefers full sun or partial shade.
