Sow the seeds from December to March at about 18-21°C (65-71°F) in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse, covering the seeds lightly with compost. Transfer resulting seedlings into 9cm (3") pots and grow on until the pots are nicely filled. Acclimatise the young plants to the outside conditions before planting then out from mid May to mid June about 30cm (12") apart, where the plants are to flower.
Ideal for beds and borders, patio pots and containers, hanging baskets. Attractive to bees. Prefers full sun or partial shade. Remove dead heads to encourage continuous flowering.
