For best ever tomato crop!
Collection comprises 6 plants (2 of each variety): Conchita
(picture 2) - A superb large cherry tomato with fine flavour. Gives huge
crops on trusses bearing as many as 20 fruits; Dasher (picture 3)
- One of the tastiest new mini plum varieties giving a good crop of sweet
fruits; Elegance (picture 4) - A vigorous growing variety,
producing good trusses of standard size tomatoes of fine colour and
delicious flavour. Turbo Tomatoes: Get a bumper crop of tasty
tomatoes with our Turbo Tomatoes! Why are they Turbo? We have taken three
varieties of the tastiest tomatoes available and grafted them to an
extremely vigorous-growing root stock. Tomatoes have been grown in this
way for a while by commercial growers and have been shown to:
Be more
vigorous, producing larger plants.
Have greater resistance to pests
and diseases.
Have less susceptibility to nutritional
disorders.
Yield top quality fruit over a longer period compared to
normal plants.
Our trials last summer showed grafted plants were
incredibly healthy and gave rise to larger strong growing plants giving
bumper yields (as Picture 1 shows, with a standard tomato on the right
and a Turbo tomato on the left). They'll perform well outside but are
particularly recommended for greenhouse growing where they will fulfill
their full potential. Our plants are despatched once the graft union has
taken and they are growing away strongly.
