Apple Tree Collection

5 apple trees, Great Value!
Collection comprises 5 (4 eating & 1 cooking) trees (1 of each variety): Self Fertile Queen Cox (picture 1) - This self-fertile clone sets good crops without the need for pollinators. Fruit is juicy and sweet, with the typical mellow 'Cox' taste, although it has a deeper red flush than the usual Cox. Pick from late September, and eat all the way through to January; Apache (picture 2) - We're delighted to be able to offer this splendid self-fertile early apple which is regarded by many authorities as being the finest flavoured early. Eat it straight from the tree in early September and enjoy its rich juiciness yourself!; Egremont Russet (picture 3) - A self-fertile mid-season variety - undoubtedly the best of the russetted apples - with a very keen following. It reliably produces a heavy crop of distinctive russet-bronze fruits, with crisp solid flesh and a rich, nutty flavour that is perfect with cheese! Pick in October for eating through to January; Braeburn (Clone Helena) (picture 4) - Braeburn is one of the best-selling varieties in Britain and can now (thanks to this earlier cropping new clone) be grown very successfully in UK gardens. Pick from mid October and store for up to 4 months without losing the superb crisp texture!; Bramley (Clone 20) (picture 5) - 2009 is the year of the Bramley as it's now 200 years since this most famous cooking apple was discovered as a chance seedling in a Nottinghamshire garden. Why not celebrate by planting your own Bramley tree? Our clone 20 is a big improvement on regular Bramley. It's less vigorous and more controllable in the garden and will also give you a significantly heavier crop. Deservedly renowned for its excellent cooking qualities. Note that it needs at least two other apples in the locality for pollination. Pick October for use throughout winter.
Our apples are grafted onto an M9 rootstock which produces an easy-to-control semi-dwarf tree with medium vigour.
