Bean (Climbing French Bean) Blue Lake Seeds

Bean (Climbing French Bean) Blue Lake Seeds

Good tender and round pods.
A traditional favourite. Medium-length, tender, stringless, round pods. Will also provide a good crop of haricot beans if allowed to ripen. White seeded variety. Height 150cm (5').

Average Packet Content 140 seeds

£2.35 Code: 195541

CULTURE: Sow outdoors late April-June or in April under glass for transplanting outdoors. Provide suitable support - e.g. netting or pea sticks (12-16 weeks maturity).
HINTS: Suitable for organic growing. Produces fine crops of delicious pods over a longer period than from Dwarf French Beans. HEALTH BENEFITS: A source of vitamins A, C and E, plus protein and fibre. CULINARY TIPS: Never eat beans raw, boil rapidly to retain the flavour and texture.

There's nothing like growing your own vegetables - as well as the satisfaction it gives, you have the peace of mind that they're maximum quality, nutrient-packed, and chemical-free, with that "fresh-from-the-garden taste" at a fraction of the cost of the supermarket. Our carefully selected range of vegetable seeds will provide a bounty of tasty fresh produce all the year round. We've also got other vegetable seed ranges, such as Groweasy Seeds and the Alan Titchmarsh range of Organic Seeds. And at certain times of the year, we also offer Vegetable Plants if you don't have the time to grow vegetables from seed.
Seed, Garlic, Onion Sets, Shallots and Mushroom orders incur a carriage charge of £0.95. For full details of our carriage charges, please click here.
