Beetroot Moneta Seeds

Less thinning, less work!
This 'monogerm' variety produces one strong seedling per cluster thus alleviating thinning out the young plants. The uniform, round, smooth skinned roots are of excellent flavour and deep crimson internal colour. Can be sown earlier than many varieties without the risk of bolting.

CULTURE: For early crops choose a bolt-resistant variety and sow March-early April. For use in summer and autumn make successional sowings of suitable varieties from late April to July. Store roots in dry sand, soil, or peat for winter use. (12-16 weeks maturity.)
HINTS: Suitable for organic growing. Twist off foliage when picking, as cutting will make stems bleed sap.HEALTH BENEFITS: Roots rich in potassium and folate plus some vitamin C, and known to improve the improve the immune system. CULINARY TIPS: Tops of young roots can be used as Spinach.
