Strawberry 4 Months Collection
Harvest juicy strawberries for four months of the year!
Collection comprises 20 strawberry plants (5 of each variety):
Christine (picture 1) - This strawberry is the earliest variety we offer, cropping outside from the first week in June, and from mid May under cover. The strawberries are large, firm, extremely juicy and sweet! Easy to grow, with good pest and disease resistance.
Lucy (picture 2) - A British-bred strawberry that is particularly tolerant of heavy rain! The plants develop extensive root systems, and produce heavy crops of large, attractive, glossy red berries that taste absolutely divine!
Elegance (picture 3) - An exciting new mid to late season strawberry, bred by Dr David Simpson at East Malling, which was the highest yielding strawberry in 2008/2009 trials. Berries are firm, conical, glossy orange/red, sweet and juicy, and plants are tolerant to Crown Rot and Verticillium Wilt.
Albion (picture 4) - A heavy cropping and disease resistant strawberry which produces a good crop of large, deliciously flavoured berries right through the summer. Plants are moderately resistant to Verticillium Wilt and highly resistant to Crown Rot, and will produce up to 1 lb of mouthwatering strawberries per plant each year! Crops from June to October in several flushes. An ideal variety for containers on the patio too.
