Content Category Manager

Suttons Seeds E - Commerce Department has a vacancy for an energetic, forward-thinking experienced Content Category Manager to join there expanding internet services team.

Reporting to the E - Commerce Manager, this exciting role will offer the successful individual the opportunity to develop a career in retail e-commerce. They will also be responsible for a small sub-team of equally creative and enthusiastic team members.

The job role

The applicant will become an essential member of the e-commerce department working alongside their team to create outstanding, online content. Promoting core categories and manage the product portfolio. Tasked with the continuing development and optimisation of the websites product the Category Content Manager or “get ‘em engaged manager” will contribute to the success of the department and increased web sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall “look and feel” of the online offer.

This is a key exciting role for someone who has ambition, passion and drive within this ever changing IT world.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the look and feel of the site; constant quality control of imagery, content and design. The role will also oversee the product/content/editorial and photographic imagery and site merchandising.

Content

  • Research of content for new products
  • Edit and creation of content
  • Proof reading

  • Creation of product descriptions
  • Creation of product category
  • Creation of product category descriptions
  • Creation of how to guides, Q&A, blogs and KB
  • Ensuring products are removed when indicated by product managers
  • Ensuring all products and promotions are allocated to correct category structure
  • Creation of Calls to Actions
  • Creation of readers offers

  • Product analysis, including sales and purchase trends

  • Themes
  • Bestsellers and problem products
  • Category management

Video

  • Responsible for product/content/editorial and photographic imagery on the site
  • Responsible for the look and feel of the site

  • 404 maintenance

Reporting

  • Weekly sales report

Reporting to the E - Commerce Manager, this exciting role will offer the successful individual the opportunity to develop a career in e-commerce in an increasing internet market.

The job role

The applicant will become an essential member of the e-commerce department working alongside their team to create and nurture 3rd party and affiliate relationships to promote the product portfolio, increase sales and ability to develop fresh ideas to fit with the requirements of the business. Tasked with developing and driving new online relationships for the website the Customer Acquisition Manager or “get ‘em to visit manager” will contribute to the success of the department and increased web sales. We will be looking for someone with the capability to drive the business forward, seeking opportunities where ever possible, who has a strong background and proven experience in account management.

This is a key exciting role for someone who has ambition, passion and drive within this ever-changing IT world. An obsession with analytics and an ability to argue the point in sound analytics is what we are truly looking for.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the key resources to drive customers to the online buying experience with the establishment of key traffic-driving partnerships online to include Paid Search (PPC) and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). Online and offline to drive store to create awareness, promote seasonal buying opportunities and merchandise multi-channel prospects. The ability and knowledge to choose and recommend selected affiliates and utilisation of Social Media and Social Media Engagement.
