Sowing Time March to July, and in September
Traditional favourite A very popular lettuce producing large, crisp hearts. Slow to run to seed. Culture: Sow little and often to ensure a continuous supply. Grow in a rich soil and water well in dry periods. Sow outdoors at fortnightly intervals from March to July, and in September sow varieties which stand through winter to head the following spring. (10-14 weeks maturity.)
