Tomato Seeds - Twin Pack Ildi/San Marzano

Part of the James Wong Grow For Flavour Range.

James says - ‘The ultimate heirloom sauce tomato ‘San Marzano’ meets the perfect cherry ‘Ildi’.

  • lldi - This quirky fella offers up great big bunches of more than 50 grape-sized fruit at a time, with a refreshing sweet/tart flavour – a bit like sweet corn kernels. Also one of the earliest ripening tomatoes around, with its bunches having the unusual property of being able to last for weeks, hung in a cool, dark place, without losing flavour or freshness.
  • San Marzano - This heritage Neapolitan variety bred specifically for sauce will have you making marinara like a proper Italian mama. Its low water content gives it a spongy, almost foamy texture when raw, which transforms into rich, silkiness after the briefest simmering. Mandatory growing for any self-respecting pizza and pasta fans.
  • Harvest July-October.
