Producing a sweet nutty flavoured vegetable, squash plants are a great thing to grow.
Squash seeds need to be sown between April and May under glass in 75mm pots. The seeds should germinate within 5 to 8 days. Once the plants are big enough to handle and any risk of frost has passed, the plants can be transplanted outdoors. There needs to be 80cm between each plant.
In order to achieve best results from your Squash seeds , once the plant begins to produce the fruit it needs to be restricted to growing 3 to 4 per plant.
