Squash Seeds - Zucca da Marmellata

Part of the James Wong Grow For Flavour Range.

James says - ‘Bred specifically to simmer down into a spiced amber jam much loved in Italy’.

  • It is rather lacking in sugars, so tastes a little insipid on its own, but it is magically transformed by a few generous cupfuls of the sweet stuff, a sprinkling of lemon rind and a dash of cinnamon.
  • Spread over hot buttered toast, it provides one of the most civilised breakfasts around!
  • Harvest August-November.
