Tomato Seeds - F1 Crimson Crush

7 Review(s) with an average rating of:
5.0

As well as its ability to shrug off even the worst blight, Crimson Crush will provide great yields of exceptionally fine tasting, large, round tomatoes (each weighing up to 200g). Bred for outdoor growing, it's the tomato that everyone should be planting this year. (Cordon variety - one stem grown by pinching off side-shoots as they appear, needs staking and tying in.)

  • This is not just a blight resistant tomato it is a blight beating tomato. Never be disappointed with your tomato crop when blight strikes again
  • Ideal for the home or the allotment

Please note: With regards to the nature of the blight resistance, plants can still show infection (up to 10-15%) of leaves, stems etc. without effecting fruit quality or yield. The plants having the resistance to be able to grow away from the attack.

TOM EXPLAINS THE TECHNICAL STUFF YOU MAY WANT TO KNOW…
This variety is unique in that it has two resistance genes to Phytopthera infestans (Late Blight), giving it full resistance to all strains of blight currently found in the UK. So if blight spores come into contact wth the plant the infection will not spread throughout the plant.

It's been bred using natural methods and has been tested throughout the breeding process using Marker Assisted Selection (MAS).

Rating:
The best tomato plants I've ever grown all the seeds germinated, disease and blight free from beginning to end. Good cropper and very tasty. Will definitely grow them again this year.

Cannot rate these highly enough. First year of these plants and they're still going strong in November. Was going to give up growing tomatoes outside having lost everything to late season blight two years in a row.... and they're exceptionally tasty as well...

I can't praise this tomato enough. We had the first fruit in July and I'm still picking from pot grown plants against the south wall of the house in mid October. Allotment plants in the ground resisted disease until the end of September. Delicious flesh and though the skins are tough they peel off without the need for blanching. I will definitely grow them next year.

Bought these last year and was very impressed with them, no diseases to report. I was picking tomatoes a lot later than was expected (picked the last one on Christmas day!!!) not bad for outdoor grown tomatoes. I will be buying again this year 10/10
