For exhibition, sow thinly Dec/Jan in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approximately 15-20˚C (60-68˚F). Cover seeds with 6mm (¼") of sieved compost. (Germination18-24 days.) Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle in 75mm (3") pots, grow on and plant out into prepared soil manured the previous autumn. For culinary use sow thinly direct outside in March/April in finely raked firm soil at a depth of 13mm (½") rows 30cm (12") apart. Thin seedlings to 15cm (6") between plants. Sowing to cropping: 24 weeks.

Ideal for beds and borders. Prefers full sun. HEALTH BENEFITS: Lowers blood pressure and cholestrol levels.
