Sow in a propagator on a windowsill at approximately 18-21°C (65-70°F) using quality compost. Cover the seeds with 6mm (¼") sieved compost. Transfer seedlings when large enough to handle into individual 7.5cm (3") pots and grow on. Plant out 8 weeks later allowing 60cm (24") between plants each way. Alternatively, sow direct into a finely raked 'seedbed' at a depth of 13mm (½"), germination 7-12 days. Sowing to Cropping: 30 weeks.

Ideal for beds and borders, patio pots and containers. Grows well in sun or shade. HEALTH BENEFITS: High in vitamins A and C and a good source of iron. CULINARY TIPS: A growing body of research suggests that broccoli may offer some protection against certain cancers. Best steamed not boiled and use within hours of harvesting.
