Scatter your seeds over well-raked soil in a bright, sunny area of your garden in mid-April. In colder districts you can always sow the seeds in small pots indoors and plant them out at the end of May to give them an extra head start. Space plants at least 30cm (12") apart, water well and watch them grow. Being extremely closely related to fat hen, a common garden weed, the plants are extremely easy to grow. Sowing ➞ Cropping: 16-20 weeks.
