Scatter your seeds over well-raked soil in a bright, sunny area of your garden in mid April. In colder districts you can always sow the seeds in small pots indoors and plant them out at the end of May to give them an extra head start. Space plants at least 30cm (12") apart, water well and watch them grow. How to harvest - Briskly shake flower heads, when the seed falls readily it is ready to harvest, usually after about 12 weeks. Harvest by bending stem over a clean bucket and rubbing seed heads together, remove unwanted chaff by shaking through a fine seive.

Ideal for beds and borders. Prefers full sun.
