Sow direct into a seedbed, 1cm (½") deep, 30cm (12") between rows. Transfer to final growing positions approximately 5 weeks from sowing. Alternatively, sow indoors at a depth of 1cm (½") in trays of seed compost and cover lightly with vermiculite. Place in a propagator at 15-20°C (59°-68°F) until after germination, usually 4-15 days. Transfer seedlings into 7.5cm (3") pots and grow on. Acclimatise before planting out, leaving 50cm (20") each way. Grows best in soil prepared in early spring. Apply lime to acid soils to reduce the risk of clubroot. Sowing to Cropping: From 20 weeks.

Ideal for beds and borders. Grows well in sun or shade.
