  • These shaggy tufts of wispy leaves are massive in Japan, where they are known as okahijiki. On the other side of the world, under the name of agretti. They are a regional delicacy in Italy.
  • Easy to grow plants that respond well to repeated clipping.
  • Sow April-July or September-October. Harvest May-December.

The curious charm of land seaweed has remained, until very recently, well-kept secret from the rest of the world. Height 21-30cm.

Sow April-July, 5mm (¼") deep in seed trays, germination should occur within 7-10 days occasionally taking a little longer. Transplant outside 15cm (6") apart with 10cm (4") between rows. Water regularly to keep plants moist but not waterlogged. Harvest in 6-8 weeks.

Ideal for beds and borders, patio pots and containers. Prefers full sun but grows well in sun or shade.
