Sow thinly direct into soil prepared by digging and raking at a depth of 5cm (2") in flat drills 15cm (6") wide in double rows with seed approximately 5cm (2") apart. Germination 7-10 days. Allow 75cm (30") between further rows. Support plants with twiggy sticks or pea netting. Grows best in a sunny position in well-cultivated soil
containing plenty of well-rotted manure or compost. Sow small batches in succession every 2-3 weeks for a continuous supply. Water well during dry weather to aid flower setting and pea formation. Sowing - Cropping: 12-16 weeks.
