Anvil Loppers

The world’s first anvil pruner was developed and patented by Walther Schroder in Kiel, Germany in 1923. Randolph Schroder, the current Managing Director, is the third generation of his family to manufacture Lowe pruners, continuing the family tradition. The company's pruners are designed and manufactured to the highest standards, and although many British gardeners will not have heard of them, it is likely that they have owned a pair, because for many years the pruners were manufactured by Rolcut here in the UK and sold under that well-known brand name.
Anvil Loppers - These anvil loppers, with curved blade, combine the advantages of anvil technology and bypass geometry. The curved blade and anvil prevents the branch from slipping out, and their design ensures maximum cutting force combined with a precise cut that is gentle on the plant, combining good cutting capacity with a small handle-opening angle. The blade's Teflon coating prevents rusting and stops debris sticking, and it has comfortable plastic handles and strong, lightweight, oval aluminium tubes. Length 80cm (31½").
