Lupin plants are unusual and very eye catching and a good bedding or filler plant. It is easy to grow, and its attractive look makes it a very popular plant!
As a hardy annual, Lupin seeds need to be sown between March and May outdoors and flowers between June and September.
Germination usually takes 15 to 20 days. As the seedlings develop, thin them in stages to achieve the final spacing of 30cm apart. (You must ensure that all weeds are removed when thinning the seedlings; especially during the early stages.)
