We are all aware that Britain's bees and other pollinators are in crisis. One of the reasons for this is the lack of nourishment in the form of nectar and pollen available for these insects. This is something we can all, easily, help to change. Suttons have teamed up with the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) so that we can provide you with the ultimate collection of seed varieties that will keep the honey bee and other pollinators nourished throughout the season. Keeping these amazing insects strong and healthy enables them to pollinate our crops so we can enjoy delicious fruit, veg and salads.

Sow mid March-May; flowers July-September. Sow directly into finely raked, moist, warm soil where the plants are to flower. Sow the seeds thinly in shallow drills or spread evenly over the surface and cover lightly. Germination 10-30 days. Thin the young seedlings carefully to leave them about 8cm (3") apart. Allow the plants to develop further and thin again to 16-30cm (6-12") apart according to the type of plant and its vigour. Make a second sowing 2 weeks later to prolong flowering.
Ideal for beds and borders. Prefers full sun.
