Sow the seed thinly direct onto finely raked, moist, warm soil where the plants are to flower, raking the seed into the top 3mm (1⁄8") of soil. Germination 14-21 days. Thin seedlings in stages to a final spacing of 10cm (4") apart, using the spare plants to fill in any spaces in the bed. Alternatively, sow in mid September for strong young plants that will flower the following summer.

Ideal for beds and borders. Attractive to butterflies. Prefers full sun.
